How I Found My Voice: Roshanda the Author

Children are honest. I have three who tell me the truth with no holds barred. I remember when I was like that as a child. During my elementary school years I was known as a great student but my progress report cards often stated I talked too much. Imagine that. My father asked, “Why?” I replied, “I believe I have something to say.”

Before words could be officially formed Roshanda had something to say.
Before words could be officially formed, Roshanda had something to say.

That belief is what pushed me to write my story in the soon to be released “Chocolate and Diamonds for a Women’s Soul.” This anthology features women from across the globe sharing their stories of triumph, fear, doubt, victory and laugher. This timeless treasure featuring over
110 women is currently available for pre-order on Amazon ahead of its September 13th “Global Oneness” celebration launch.

In my chapter, “Finding Your Voice: You No Longer Have the Right to Remain Silent,” I share how I moved from being stifled to believing in my voice. Life sometimes has a way of causing us to shut our mouths, but like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, I learned how to fly again.
My story talks about my personal journey of learning how to be that brave girl who believed she had something to say. I share details of what prevented my soaring and the steps I discovered in reclaiming my identity. I learned in my process that’s where my story was truly created.

It is my prayer my story of overcoming helps you to discover the voice to be bold and brave. To hear the voices of over 100 women share their stories, purchase Chocolate and Diamonds for a Women’s Soul on Amazon. The Kindle release is September 13, 2015. You can pre-order for .99 right now.

Thank you for supporting my story.

“My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful
writer.” Psalm 45:1 NIV
